FC Red Bull Salzburg has secured the services of Damir Redzic. The 22-year-old attacker is moving from the Slovakian first division club Dunajska Streda to the top Austrian club and has a contract until June 2030. The Hungarian, with a market value of 1.5 million euros, is reportedly costing 4.75 million euros, making him the most expensive Salzburg signing in 2025/26. Former club Ferencváros will contribute to the transfer fee. This season, Redzic scored seven goals and one assist in 14 games for Dunajska Streda.
Salzburg’s new sports director Marcus Mann said: “We have had Damir in mind for a long time and are pleased that the opportunity has now arisen to realize this transfer. The fact that he has clearly committed to us from the first conversation despite numerous other offers is a strong signal. Damir is extremely willing to learn and, with his pace and his ability to get to the goal, has exactly the qualities that make us even more variable and dangerous in attack. We are convinced that he will be an absolute reinforcement for our team.”
