In May last year, the magistrates sounded the alarm. The courthouse is in bad shape. Paper that comes loose, mold, a ceiling that could collapse at any moment. It is an unhealthy and even dangerous workplace. The building was neglected for years. But now something is finally being done about it.
Vanessa Matz, Minister of Government Buildings: “The Buildings Agency is currently preparing the works to resolve the reported complaints. A Master Plan is being drawn up for the thorough renovation of the roof and facades. Because this is a major investment, this will be done in several phases. The first phase will start this year. Both the Buildings Agency and I are fully aware of the seriousness of this problem.”
