Seven years in prison imposed for homejackers who put a knife to the throat and a gun to the head of a 16-year-old: “They shot his father as they fled”

Seven police officers were needed to guard four tough boys during their trial in the Leuven court. They have been in jail for a while for a brutal homejacking in Oud-Heverlee in 2024. There they shot the father of the house after they armed the 16-year-old son from his bed in the middle of the night. “For my clients there is a life before and after the facts,” said the lawyer for the civil party. Because they left so many traces behind, after two more carjackings, they were quickly captured.
