(toskanews) — «Towards the stars! SpaceX and xAI are now one company». Elon Musk announced with this post on X the merger between his aerospace company and the one dedicated to artificial intelligence, known for the chatbot Grok.
The details of the agreement have not been disclosed, but according to CNN we are talking about giants with dizzying values: 800 billion dollars for SpaceX and around 230 billion for xAI. In his note, Musk said the merger will form an “innovation engine” that brings AI, rockets, space internet and media under one roof.
The goal is ambitious: to move artificial intelligence, increasingly hungry for energy, from Earth to Space. According to the billionaire, in fact, “the cheapest way to generate AI processing will be in space” within two or three years. Meanwhile, Musk has requested authorization to launch one into orbit constellation of 1 million satellites.
