Experts target proposal for online age check and defend pseudonyms: “Anonymity does not mean impunity”

Measures that are “ineffective” and “disproportionate”, based on “misunderstandings” or “paternalistic protection”: a number of experts on Tuesday seriously questioned the usefulness of a mandatory age check in Belgium for access to social media and of a regulation on the use of pseudonyms online.
