FC Volendam confirmed on Monday that it was already working on the temporary arrival of Bacuna. The only question was whether the paperwork would be completed on time. That ultimately worked out for the club. There is no option to purchase included in the deal.
Bacuna will join the selection on Thursday. This means that the former player of FC Groningen, Huddersfield Town and Rangers, among others, is still missing in the quarter-final against NEC on Wednesday evening.
“I am very happy and satisfied with this step to FC Volendam. It has all happened very quickly in recent days. I come here with the aim of keeping Volendam in the Premier League and I want to get playing time again. With my experience, I think I can help the team and the fans to achieve this goal, because they deserve to play at the highest level in the Netherlands.”
