When the police responded to a report of a shooting on Zijkanaal C-weg around 12.30 p.m., they found a man with gunshot wounds in his leg. The suspect has already fled.
The victim is responsive at that time, but is bleeding profusely. After his leg is tied off, he is taken to hospital for treatment. The police immediately started an extensive search for the shooter, including the deployment of an arrest team, a police helicopter, drone and sniffer dog.
Three suspects arrested
While the SWAT team searches two houses in the street, officers find two suspects in the area. Because their supposed role in the incident was not immediately clear, the man and woman were arrested and taken to the station.
