Valentijn Driessen agrees with the strong criticism of Paul de Leeuw, who apparently wants to be on TV so much that he is willing to make Ranking the Stars in 2026 with types like Sjorleone. “Nothing scores!”

© RTL, SBS

Do you choose dignity or money? Paul de Leeuw clearly opts for the latter. He is currently on channel with the most embarrassing edition of Ranking the Stars ever. We see the presenter living among B-stars and reality leftovers such as Sjorleone. It is extremely painful to see someone who was once a major A-star now floating in the TV sewer.

Nonsense

Johan Derksen brings it up in Today Inside. “That is the worst program in the Netherlands. They are mere ignoramuses who no one knows and who bully each other. Then you have Patty Brard who is desperate because he is no longer asked anywhere and De Bevers sit everywhere.”

It is interesting that John de Bever is considered one of Johan’s best friends. “I warned them about that, but they think they owe it to RTL, because the soap is on RTL. Then you have those singers, those Bökkers, who got lost and didn’t know where he ended up.”

Sjorleone

René van der Gijp is annoyed by John de Bever’s husband. “That Kees doesn’t mind being in the spotlight either.”

Wilfred Genee: “And Sjorleone, who is that?”

Johan: “The Beavers cannot make harsh, cynical comments at all. They are left with bacon and beans. They don’t belong there.”

Wilfred: “Paul de Leeuw shouldn’t want this anymore at some point, right?”

Valentine sneers

Telegraaf journalist Valentijn Driessen thinks that Paul is passé. “The only thing Paul de Leeuw has success with is when Sinterklaas comes to visit. Right? Other than that, no one watches anything anymore.”

Johan: “Paul de Leeuw was here a few times. I didn’t know that boy and I didn’t have any problems with that boy, but I thought he was a bit of an annoying guy.”

Bad times

Why did Johan find him an annoying guy? “Because he was here and he actually wanted to impose the Paul de Leeuw show on us. He just does that on his own time, right?”

“He has had very good times, but if he gets a new program again, it will be the same trick again and again.”
