The 80-year-old Romania coach, who managed Inter, Reggiana, Pisa and Brescia in Italy, will remain in hospital for at least three days to undergo a series of tests also linked to cardiac problems
His immune system is weakened due to the cold. Also for this reason Mircea Lucescu, 80 years old, was urgently admitted to the University Hospital of Bucharest in the afternoon where he will remain for at least three days. The news was reported by the sports website Fanatik. The coach of the Romanian national team, who in Italy – among others – coached Pisa, Brescia, Reggiana and Inter, underwent a cardiological check-up which was necessary due to a serious flu: a disease to which antibiotic therapy is not responding. The technical director of the Romanian Federation, Mihai Stoichita, said that Lucescu “will go abroad again to do some tests”. In any case, the doctors want to immediately carry out a complete series of analyzes to identify all the health problems that Romania’s technical commissioner is facing.
