The descriptive soil investigation (BBO) was drawn up after it was determined that elevated PFAS values had been found on the sites of the licensed dredging sludge dump. The neighborhood was advised to no longer eat vegetables from their own garden or use groundwater.
An independent expert conducted the descriptive research. This examined, among other things, the presence of PFAS in the soil on the various plots of land on the island, in the groundwater under and near the island, in the surface water (canal and canal arm) and on the waterbed. The risks to humans, other organisms, agricultural activities and the risk of further spread via groundwater were examined.
