Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. The news ticker on t-online contains all the important reports about the “Rothosen”.
The HSV Deadline Day starts with a double transfer decision: As expected, Immanuel Pherai is leaving the Volkspark – but not moving to Nuremberg, but to Elversberg. In return, Otto Stange returns early from the second division club to Hamburg. This is reported by the pay TV channel Sky.
Pherai made his way to Elversberg on Monday morning and will be loaned out until the end of the season after the medical check. There is also a purchase option for the summer, which should be around 1.5 million euros. Stange’s loan to Elversberg, however, was ended early because he hardly got any playing time there. The 18-year-old was in the second division squad 16 times, but never started. In eleven substitute appearances he scored three goals and two assists.
Now the U19 national player is continuing his career in Hamburg. Only a few minutes can be expected from the professionals in the short term, but he is still considered an interesting option. In order to gain match practice, he could also play for the HSV-U21 in the regional league in the second half of the season.
Emir Sahiti leaves Hamburger SV. As the Hanseatic League announced, the 27-year-old offensive player is moving to Israeli Europa League participant Maccabi Tel Aviv on loan until the end of the season. The Kosovar came to HSV from Hajduk Split in August 2024 and was involved in Hamburg’s return to the Bundesliga.
This season, Sahiti was only used twice in the Bundesliga and twice in the DFB Cup. He still has a contract in Hamburg until June 2027. “I am very grateful for my time at HSV so far. Last season in particular with the promotion was a highlight for me,” Sahiti was quoted in the HSV statement.
Vincent Kompany returns to Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion for the first time as Bayern coach on Saturday. “It was a great time,” said the 39-year-old Belgian, referring to his two years at HSV from 2006 to 2008.
“HSV remains a special story for me, but also Hamburg as a city. Everyone who has lived there feels what a special city it is,” he said. Kompany sees HSV as a club with great prospects. The club is “in the process of rebuilding” as a promoted team, but has “the potential to become a huge club”. Normally HSV has to be “at the top in Germany”.
