Norway’s “bonus prince” poses in an awkward picture.

Son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit Marius Borg Høiby will soon face trial. “Bonusprinssi” is accused of, among other things, four rapes and other crimes. There are up to 38 charges in total.
Expressen now tells about the picture, which the bonus prince will probably have to explain in court. Marius is posing shirtless in the photo with sunglasses on. He has a coffee cup in one hand, a handgun and a bottle of champagne in the other. Bills are sticking out of his pants. The photo was originally published by the German magazine Bild in August of last year.
According to the magazine, the photo was taken in an apartment located just a few hundred meters from the royal palace in the center of Oslo. The picture was taken in 2023.
Writers have written about the infamous party apartment Øistein Norum Monsen and Torgeir P. Krokfjord Vita linor, svarta får – in his book, which was published last fall. According to the authors, there was a box in the apartment that contained a large amount of cocaine.
The writers have a strong doubt as to how the picture ended up in the press. According to the authors, the sale amount of the picture would be around one million Norwegian kroner, or more than 87,000 euros.
– We don’t know who sold the pictures, but someone did. Bild itself has denied that it paid for the pictures, but our sources say that a very large amount of money was put on the table, Monsen tells Expressen.

Soft-spoken Haakon
Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon has commented sparingly on Marius’ trial.
– We cooperate with all those affected. Not only in our own family, but everyone else who is affected, the crown prince said.
According to Aftonbladet, the crown prince couple will not attend the trial because Mette-Marit is on a private trip.
– I trust that those in charge of the trial will ensure that it is carried out as fairly as possible, Haakon said.
The trial is expected to last until March 19. Høiby will be heard on the second day of the main hearing.
