The emergency services received the report of the accident on the Spoorsingel around 9 p.m.
A police spokesperson said the pedestrian was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver was arrested for causing a ‘serious accident’ and taken in for questioning.
The road is closed, the Traffic Accident Analysis department is investigating what exactly happened.
