Two cars collided on the Streek in Hooghalen this afternoon. No one had to go to hospital, but the vehicles suffered significant damage.
It is still unclear how the collision occurred. One of the cars came to a stop on its side. The other ended up across the bike path next to the road.
Police, ambulance and fire brigade responded to the accident. Several people were checked by ambulance personnel. But they did not have to be taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The road has been temporarily closed. The police are investigating how the accident could have happened.
