Good day! Welcome to our live blog with two matches in the Premier League this Saturday: AZ – NEC and PEC Zwolle – Telstar. The North Holland teams both lost by a large margin. How did that go? You can read that in this live blog. Tips? Email to [email protected]

4.30 pm AZ – NEC: 1-3 (finished)
6.45 pm PEC Zwolle – Telstar: 4-1 (finished)

Thanks for following this live blog. Both AZ and Telstar crashed hard on this sports Saturday. You can read the report and reactions in this live blog.

Hopefully things will go better for the North Holland teams tomorrow. Ajax travels to Rotterdam for their match against Excelsior (12.15 pm). FC Volendam receives Go Ahead Eagles at 8 p.m. Of course you can follow those matches again at NH Sport, via our live blog and radio report.

Telstar loses 4-1 when visiting PEC in Zwolle. Rossen scored the only goal for the White Lions.

The retirement of Ronald Koeman is particularly worrying. He dropped out with a thigh injury.

PEC still ends up at 4-1. Kostons makes his second of the evening. But there is no party atmosphere. The ambulance crew has to go into the stands because there is a medical emergency.

The match is paused for a while, but when it becomes known that the situation is under control, football will continue.

De Rooij’s goal does not go through after all. He was offside when Kostons made the pass. The score remains 3-1, but Telstar has lost Koeman to an upper leg injury.

Kaj de Rooij hits the mark: 4-1. An easy goal for the home team. Ronald Koeman is injured during the goal. Daan Reiziger is his replacement.

Milan Zonneveld and Tyrese Noslin have also been substituted. Adil Lechkar and Dylan Mertens are their replacements.

Tristan Gooijer is the scorer for the home team: 3-1. The Ajax loanee makes his first of the season. Things are going fast all of a sudden. Can Telstar still come back from this backlog?

Telstar was not able to enjoy the equalizer for a long time. Koen Kostons gives PEC the lead again: 2-1.

Nils Rossen with the equalizer! De Graaff manages to deflect a shot from Hetli, but the keeper has no chance with Rossen’s rebound: 1-1.

That should have been the equalizer. But the PEC goalkeeper is in a good position on shots from Hardeveld and Zonneveld.

PEC took off in the first half. After the break, the people of Zwolle seem to take it a bit easier. Maybe it will give Telstar some space to play football and create opportunities.

Offerhaus’ corner is headed over the goal by Hardeveld. It wasn’t an easy opportunity either.

The attacker who is hired from AZ has joined the team for Cedric Hatenboer. The second half has started.

Telstar faces a 1-0 deficit due to Shoretire’s late goal.

The home team takes the lead just before half time. Little Shola Shoretire is the big man. He hits the target: 1-0.

What do the last minutes of the first half bring us? At least two minutes remain to be played.

The defender remains down. And that’s no fun on the cold turf. Nwankwo is treated outside the lines and Telstar is briefly left with ten men.

After a short treatment, Nwankwo can continue playing.

Floranus gives the cross from the left and Kostons jumps to head it. Just before the PEC attacker hits the ball, Telstar captain Bakker gives him a push. Light enough not to concede a penalty, but heavy enough to throw Kostons off balance. The ball goes over the back line.

It is an open competition in cold Zwolle. Now it’s Hetli with a chance. The attacker shoots into the short corner and sees his bet turned away.

PEC started this match extremely strongly. With chances for Oosting and Namli, the home team should have taken the lead. Fortunately for Telstar, Koeman showed his qualities.

The tall striker comes higher than PEC goalkeeper De Graaff. Unfortunately for Zonneveld, the ball just doesn’t go in. In the follow-up shot, Fichtinger makes hands, but referee Alex Bos does not whistle for a penalty for Telstar.

PEC frequently put Telstar under pressure in the first ten minutes of the match. But if the Zwolle team is sloppy in front of their own goal, Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp gets a chance. The midfielder shoots just over.

Koeman has difficulty with Namli’s first shot and the Telstar goalkeeper also just manages to deflect Mac Nulty’s attempt from close range. It is a small miracle that it is still 0-0.

The ball is rolling in Zwolle! And the first chance is directly for PEC in the first minute. Thijs Oosting goes deep and gets a shot opportunity. Koeman saves.

It’s ready in Alkmaar. AZ is not involved against NEC and quite rightly loses 1-3. Trainer Leeroy Echteld has to go back to the drawing board and get to work. FC Twente will again be waiting for FC Twente in the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup on Tuesday. You can follow that match live on NH Radio.

Sano fails to score 1-4. In the meantime, Echteld changes for the last time, Mateo Chavez comes on for Kasper Boogaard. Virgil Misidjan is Önal’s replacement at NEC.

Apart from a shot from Parrott, AZ has not been able to do much offensively in the past fifteen minutes. The hope for a turnaround in the match diminishes by the minute. A few minutes ago, NEC coach Dick Schreuder made three substitutions. Pereira, Sandler and Proper have come on for Lebreton, Ouiassa and Linssen.

Four substitutions at AZ: Seiya Maikuma, Ibrahim Sadiq, Jizz Hornkamp and Ayoub Oufkir can complete the last half hour.
This match is over for Maxim Dekker, Isak Jensen, Ro-Zangelo Daal and Matej Sin.

Kodai Sano hits the mark. The preparatory work is once again done by Önal. His cross is poorly defended by AZ, Ro-Zangelo puts the ball at the feet of the Japanese who scores with a beautiful deflecting shot.

Fresh and fruity, NEC combines on the left side through the AZ defense. The detached Tjaronn Chery thinks he can score his second of the evening, but the flag is raised for Önal’s offside.

No substitutions at either AZ or NEC.

AZ had a very difficult time in the first half with a strong NEC. Yet Parrott ensures that the people of Alkmaar do not have to despair yet.

But now it has happened! Troy Parrott appears alone from the right in front of goalkeeper Gonzalo Cretteze and produces the tying goal. His eleventh goal this season in the Premier League for the Irish striker.

A nice attack from AZ in which Sin serves Jensen who has moved to the left, but he pushes the ball wide.

First, captain Tjaronn Chery can take a swing in a free position in the box and then Bryan Linssen heads the subsequent corner dangerously and hard at the AZ goal. Goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet saves. AZ is having an extremely difficult time with NEC, which more than deservedly takes the lead 2-0.

Mees de Wit simply loses the ball to Sami Ouaissa. The winger curls the ball narrowly past AZ’s goal. The Alkmaarders get along very well there.

And immediately after the opening goal it is 0-2. Basar Önal easily passes right-back Alexandre Penetra from the left side and rams the ball into the other corner.

NEC opens the score after exactly ten minutes. Captain Tjaronn Chery slides the ball just out of reach of goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet into the left corner.

After Peer Koepmeiners was honored for his hundredth match in AZ 1, the match has started. The midfielder reached that milestone last week in the away match against Telstar (0-1).

1. PSV 20 17 2 1 53 61-25

Welcome to our live blog! On this dreary Saturday, the sub-topper AZ – NEC is on the program in Alkmaar. Kick-off between numbers 4 and 5 of the Premier League is at 4:30 PM. Telstar takes action at 6.45 pm. Opponents in Zwolle are PEC.
