In an entertaining game, FC Bayern and Hamburger SV drew. A Joker scores just a few seconds after being substituted on.
A lucky point win for the German record champions: FC Bayern has big problems against Hamburger SV and in the end can’t get past a 2:2 (1:1).
Harry Kane’s 22nd goal of the season (42nd) and Luis Díaz’s tenth goal (46th) were not enough to defeat the courageous Bundesliga returnees HSV. Fabio Vieira with a penalty kick (34th) and the outstanding defense chief Luka Vušković (53rd) ensured a well-deserved draw with their goals.
“We allowed too many chances to score. We wanted to win here. That’s what I’m angry about right now. Our mistakes are currently being punished,” said Munich sports director Max Eberl on Sky and added in the direction of Osmers: “The referee was a bit overwhelmed.”
The Munich team still remain leaders and are nine points ahead of Borussia Dortmund, who face Heidenheim on Sunday (from 5:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online).
In contrast to the 0:5 in the first half of the season in Munich, Hamburg were at least on an equal footing with the heavy favorites in the early stages. Munich’s starting eleven, which had been converted to seven positions, took some time to find its feet.
After almost a quarter of an hour, Bayern became more compelling. Michael Olise (14th) and young star Lennart Karl (15th) each failed because of HSV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes. But the Hamburg team resisted the guests’ growing superiority and remained dangerous. Nevertheless, the hosts’ lead thanks to Fabio Vieira’s converted penalty was not undeserved at the time. The Munich team didn’t allow themselves to be disturbed by the deficit and equalized through Kane (42′) before the break.
