As a retired pastor, I am visiting X in a TBS clinic. We have known each other for fifteen years. We no longer talk about the failing TBS system and the treatment, but keep each other cheerful with family news and funny facts. I tell you that I once killed a beaver with my previous Toyota Prius. Quite a large animal and it seems sad to me to die like that. He looks at me and says: “Yes, that is very sad! That beaver is now being made a fool in heaven because he has to explain everywhere that he was killed by….. a Prius!”
