Baby dies shortly after birth in shed, mother did not call for help during delivery: ‘Telephone was too far’

The Public Prosecution Service has demanded 36 months in prison against a woman from Noordwijkerhout. The woman was found in a shed in her hometown in September 2024. The 21-year-old had just given birth, but her baby was found dead in a bucket. The woman told a friend that her phone was too far away and that was why she had not been able to call for help.
