RB Leipzig has to make do without winter signing Suleman Sani for the time being. According to information from the Saxons on Thursday, the 19-year-old winger has suffered a ligament injury on his right ankle and will be out for “several weeks”. The Nigerian U20 international moved from AS Trencin to Leipzig around two weeks ago for 5 million euros and is still waiting for his squad debut – now a little longer.
Defender Castello Lukeba (23) is not yet an option for the upcoming Bundesliga game against Mainz 05 (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.), as he continues to suffer from a capsule injury in his knee. It is still unclear whether right winger Johan Bakayoko will return to the team after five weeks with muscle problems. The 22-year-old has now returned to team training.
