Until 11 a.m. this morning, code yellow was in effect in the province. “There is a few centimeters of snow in some places,” says NH weatherman Jan Visser.
Two centimeters of snow fell this morning at measuring locations in Noordbeemster and Purmerend, and even three centimeters in Edam. More snow may fall in the coming hours, especially in the east and north of the province. That won’t be much, says Visser. “The amount of snow that comes with it is minimal.”
This afternoon, most of the slippery conditions will disappear again and it will be dry in most places, says Visser. Temperatures then rise again to a degree above zero. You don’t have to count on more snow for the rest of the day.
Visser doesn’t expect any more snow tomorrow either. Then it will be dry and cloudy, with room for sun in the afternoon. It will be about three to four degrees.
