Presenter Tuija Pehkonen40, says Together in his published column about his move to the north. He moved from Helsinki to Ruka after the turn of the year.
Pehkonen says that he trusted himself and his spouse For Eero Ettalathat far away from the pulse of Helsinki, their minds and families would be better off. After the move, Pehko was startled by the fact that he did not immediately get the peace of mind he had hoped for.
– The new home didn’t feel like home. I couldn’t get the dryer to work, the vacuum didn’t pull effectively. The program of the dishwasher was also too long, and it didn’t seem to wash dirty plates clean without a particularly careful pre-wash. I had totally forgotten how stressful moving would be – not to mention moving to the other side of Finland.
Encouraged by a friend, Pehkonen decided to try to calm down one more time.
– I was also laughed at. This is exactly what I had come to escape from. Myself. As an impatient person, I had expected that after a couple of days I would be a new person and my mind would have calmed down. Instead, I was angry and tense. I was even angry with myself for not having found what I was looking for and the same thoughts were running their old familiar track in my brain.

Pehkonen announced his family’s move in November. He said they would move “at least temporarily” to Ruka.
– I’m absolutely thrilled, I’ve been waiting and hoping for a really long time to see what life is like there and try it out. Now we will do it, he said at the time.
Pehkone and Ettala have two children who were born in September 2020 and August 2023.
