The world championship of Formula E returns to the scene this weekend, between 30 and 31 January 2026, with the third round of the season, the awaited E-prix Of Miamischeduled this year at Miami International Autodrome (the same one that hosts the Formula 1 GP) and not atHomestead-Miami Speedway used last year. The Miami e-Prix was held for the first time in Formula E’s inaugural season on a temporary street circuit called Biscayne Bay Street Circuit in honor of the bay where it was set up. He won it Nico Prostson of four-time F1 champion Alain Prost, with Renault e.dams. However, after that first appearance, the event disappeared from the calendar and only returned last season, atHomestead-Miami Speedwayan oval used by major American leagues with a layout obviously modified for the occasion. The Miami International Autodrome is a temporary circuit specially built around the Hard Rock Stadium, “home” of the Miami Dolphins and six-time Super Bowl venue. The track has different configurations and that full adopted by Formula 1, it is 5.4 km long and has 19 curves. For Formula E, a was chosen instead layout reduced named Extended Mia Loopfrom 2.3 km and with 14 curvesfor which there are no references yet. However, in March 2025, this configuration was used for a special Formula E “Evo Session” event where various celebrities such as Sergio Aguero, Tom Felton and Brooklyn Bekham had the opportunity to test the current Gen3 Evo cars under the supervision of a driver. The 2026 Miami E-Prix is the 151st event in the history of Formula E and the first to be held since the top speed championship for electric single-seaters was certified B Corp, the first motorsport competition ever to receive this recognition. On Friday there will be a special 40-minute free practice session reserved for rookies Rookie Free Practicein which the twenty-year-old Italian driver Gabriele Minì will also participate with Nissan.
