The German federal police have carried out searches at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and Berlin. Justice is investigating whether the bank failed to monitor transactions linked to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, as part of a money laundering investigation. Abramovich has been under EU sanctions since 2022.
