The Portuguese first division club CF Estrela Amadora is causing a sensation in the current winter transfer period – now the next transfer of a German player has been completed. As previously reported by Transfermarkt, right-back Max Scholze is moving from third division club SSV Ulm to the traditional club from the Lisbon region.

The 20-year-old follows players like Chilohem Onuoha and Tom Moustier, whose transfers were already announced by Amadora in the past few days. Bayern’s homegrown Scholze moved to the Spatzen from Munich last summer after he had already gained half a year of third division experience at SC Verl in the second half of the 2024/25 season. The Meißen native became a regular player in Ulm this season.
The professional, who can be used flexibly on the wing, made 15 appearances for Pavel Dotchev’s team, was in the starting line-up eleven times and scored two goals. After six months in Ulm, Scholze now has the opportunity to take the next step in his career in Portugal. Ulm generates a transfer increase by selling the full-back signed on a free transfer.
“After Estrela Amadora approached us, the opportunity arose for Max Scholze to move to the first Portuguese league. Because we can generate transfer proceeds, we ultimately agreed to the move. We wish Max all the best and much success for his future journey,” said sports director Stephan Schwarz.
