National player Niclas Füllkrug was the victim of a break-in in Milan. Valuables worth 500,000 euros were apparently stolen.
Unknown people broke into Niclas Füllkrug’s hotel room in Milan. According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, the safe in his room at the Hotel Meliá was forced open. Jewelry and watches worth around 500,000 euros are said to have been stolen.
Füllkrug, who currently plays for AC Milan, was not in the room at the time of the break-in. The national player is currently still living in the hotel, but is looking for an apartment and wanted to move into a new place this week. Milan’s sports director Igli Tare confirmed to the “Bild” newspaper: “It’s true. The safe in Niclas’ room has been broken into. That’s very bitter!”
The striker’s next league game with AC Milan against Lecce is on Sunday. Füllkrug had previously spoken positively about his move to Italy. He told the “Bild” newspaper: “I really wanted to go to AC Milan. I feel very comfortable here after just a few weeks.”
Füllkrug also praised his teammates in the interview. The team brings “extreme quality” and has “great cohesion, great energy”.
