VfL Wolfsburg has found a buyer for transfer candidate Andreas Skov Olsen (26) in Scotland. Wolves and Rangers confirmed the winger’s move to Glasgow on Friday evening. The winger, who was missing from the VfL squad in the 8-1 defeat at FC Bayern last Sunday, will initially join the Scottish Premiership team on loan. According to a statement from the Rangers, there is also a purchase option.
The right winger was signed by Club Bruges a year ago for 14 million euros, but was unable to convince in the long term. This season, the Dane only made ten appearances due to injuries and was in the starting line-up six times. Under the new coach Daniel Bauer, not a single minute is recorded. Skov Olsen’s market value has fallen from 16 million to 10 million euros since his move.
At Rangers he will meet German coach Danny Röhl, who took over from the 55-time Scottish champions in October and has since collected an average of 1.89 points in 19 games. With his market value, Skov Olsen is the third most valuable player in the squad.
