January 16, 2026 – 5:13 p.mReading time: 1 min.

The Bundesliga game between Hamburger SV and Bayer Leverkusen fell victim to the weather. Now it is clear: the game will be rescheduled during the week.
The canceled Bundesliga game between Hamburger SV and Bayer Leverkusen will be rescheduled for Wednesday, March 4th. The German Football League (DFL) announced this on Friday. Kick-off is at 8.30 p.m. and the match will be broadcast by Sky.
The game on matchday 17 was originally scheduled for last Tuesday. However, a few hours before kick-off, the match was canceled due to “weather-related static risks in the area of the stadium roof”; Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion was closed at short notice for this reason.
Last weekend, the games between Werder Bremen and TSG Hoffenheim as well as FC St. Pauli and RB Leipzig fell victim to the wintry conditions in the north. Both games will be rescheduled for Tuesday, January 27th at 8:30 p.m. (Sky).
