After Stefan Kuntz left Hamburger SV’s sporting director, there is still a lot of discussion about an accusation. Now the “Spiegel” quotes someone who is supposedly affected.
Why did Stefan Kuntz leave Hamburger SV? This question has been bothering fans of the Elbe club for days. The club officially announced at the beginning of the year that Kuntz and HSV had separated due to “personal family reasons”. Last weekend, “Bild am Sonntag” reported that there were allegations of sexual harassment against Kuntz within the club. The accused objected and described the content of the “Bild” report as “wrong”. Kuntz asserted: “I firmly reject these allegations!”
HSV, in turn, emphasized on Monday that the allegations were “credible” and that the board immediately decided to initiate a separation as quickly as possible. “Due to the explicit request of the people affected, the protection of those affected was the top priority during the separation, which continues to be the case,” the association said.
The “Spiegel” now claims to have spoken to one of the women allegedly affected. In the report she speaks of “inappropriate physical contact” that Kuntz made with her. Two other sources reported something similar to “Spiegel”.
Kuntz’s lawyers did not respond to a request from t-online. This means that the statements remain unconfirmed and the presumption of innocence applies.
