The city is on the move and the Fall/Winter 2026 (FW26) collection from Dutch company Mexx is moving with it. The latest capsule is designed for men and women with complex lives and is aimed at people who manage work, family and leisure without ever losing their individuality. The result? A collection that is functional yet leaves room for personal expression and confidence.
You Nguyen, Creative Director, summarizes the core idea: “We don’t rely on individual trends, but rather create a harmonious wardrobe. This reacts to movement, dynamics and the many roles that people take on every day. Clothing should adapt without losing its identity.”
At Mexx, the vision corresponds to the ‘Dutch by Design’ philosophy: clarity, pragmatism and human relevance. Structures become softer, functionality is strengthened and each part is designed for versatile use in different everyday situations. As Angelique de Rond, Managing Director of Mexx, says: “FW26 marks the beginning of a new beginning, marked by clear progress. The collection sharpens our focus on purposeful design and clothing that connects to real life. It also conveys confidence without excess.”
The materials in the FW26 collection were carefully selected based on the criteria of honesty, feel and sustainability. Compact wool, structured flannel, soft surfaces, corduroy and layered knits form the basis of the collection. Eco-leather and fine faux fur are used as modern materials. They are functional and subtle, rather than making eye-catching statements. The color palette is minimalist and architectural: earthy browns, warm neutrals, concrete gray nuances and deep blues. It is enriched with burgundy red and bright green tones – colors that create a timeless look instead of following fleeting trends.
The collection revolves around strong, versatile and easy to wear categories. The core consists of softer tailoring, outerwear that moves with you, layered knits, uncomplicated denim and sophisticated casual essentials. The silhouettes play with proportions. Emphasized shoulders meet flowing volumes. Straight and tapered trousers form the basis. Puffer jackets add volume without weighing you down.
The collection will be released in multiple drops tailored to seasonal relevance and sales logic. It also promises Mexx partners stability. The brand focuses on long-term clarity rather than quick seasonal changes. The product DNA, core categories and brand-focused, channel-agnostic approach will be further strengthened in future seasons. Innovations remain goal-oriented, while sustainability is integrated rather than promoted.
Erik van de Leur, Sales Director, says: “Our focus is on clarity: building trust through disciplined design, commercial relevance and wardrobe logic that works for consumers and partners alike.”
With FW26, Mexx shows that fashion is not just about fleeting trends. It’s about clothing that moves with the rhythm of real life. This is a collection that combines style, functionality and character. It invites you to build a wardrobe of valuable pieces for today and tomorrow.
