On Tuesday evening around 7:30 p.m., the fire brigade was called to a fire alarm in a house along Roeselarestraat in Rollegem-Kapelle. At the scene it turned out not to be a fire, but a Polish man did resist the fire brigade’s inspection.

Upon further investigation, police discovered a small cannabis plantation on the top floor of the home in question. This involved approximately 100 almost fully grown plants. The Polish man was arrested and taken to the main police station of the Grensleie police zone in Menen. On Wednesday morning, the CSI team of the federal police conducted a forensic investigation and the plantation was cleared.
