Today is New Year’s Day, which, according to old folklore, means the end of Christmas.
The festive season is also over at the Swedish court. On Tuesday, the Royal Palace shared a video on its Instagram account in which a Christmas tree is dropped from the balcony of the royal palace. A person of Swedish origin is attached to the video The steps went briskly – the instrumental version of the Christmas carol.
-Today, on New Year’s Day, Christmas is cleaned up in many Swedish homes – including in the royal castle, the publication writes.

The Court of Sweden has published many pictures and videos of its Christmas celebrations at Christmas time. Even before Christmas, Hovi published a video in which the descendants of Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, as well as Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill took part in decorating the tree. The children’s grandmother, Queen Silvia, helped with the Christmas tree decoration.
Hovi also published a sweet video on its Instagram account, in which Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel’s children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, helped in the preparation of Christmas dishes.
Swedish royals have also appeared on television at Christmas time. King Kaarle Kustaa gave his traditional Christmas speech. Crown Princess Victoria, on the other hand, read the Christmas Gospel on STV on Christmas Eve.
