The Ministry of Human Capital headed by Sandra Pettovello informed NOTICIAS about details of the official’s official trip to Singapore after a note from this medium that mentioned that activity. The ministry reported that the trip was not paid for by the Argentine State and that Pettovello’s activities in Singapore were more extensive than the three scheduled meetings mentioned in the note. They also object to the trip being described as “exotic” since, they argue, it was “official.”

“It is made known that neither the transfer nor the stay of the Minister represents any expenditure for the National State,” they stated in a letter sent to this medium. And they added: “The international activities of this Portfolio are adjusted to cooperation and institutional strengthening agendas.”

This trip was not the minister’s first institutional trip. Last May, Pettovello was officially accredited by the Government to represent the country before the Holy See at the enthronement ceremony of Pope Leo XIV, replacing President Javier Milei, who could not attend personally, along with Chancellor Gerardo Werthein. In that official delegation, Argentina’s protocol greeting was expressed to the new authority of the Catholic Church.
