Eric de Munck is back at RTL 4 after his failed adventure with Yvonne Coldeweijer’s juice project. Not at RTL Boulevard, but at RTL Tonight. “I am now creatively involved in that.”
The general public knows him as the man who explained American showbiz at the desk of RTL Boulevard: 42-year-old Eric de Munck. He could occasionally be quite spicy when it came to polder showbiz, but apparently they thought it was too risky to put him in the place of the more boring Aran Bade and Rob Goossens.
Argument with Yvonne
RTL Boulevard has become boring over the years. Very boring. And that is why Eric apparently decided to switch last year to the new juice program that Yvonne Coldeweijer would present on Net5. Ultimately he came to blows with Yvonne and now Talpa boss John de Mol is fed up: the whole juice show will no longer happen.
What was that argument about? “According to unconfirmed rumors, Eric was frustrated about working with Yvonne. He was unable to get anything done with her. That would be the reason that the program had to be postponed for the second time,” TV critic Victor Vlam said earlier.
Back at RTL
Fortunately for Eric, he was able to return to RTL. He is now involved backstage with RTL Tonight, he confirms to the juice channel Reality FBI. “That’s right! I have been involved creatively behind the scenes to come up with ideas for topics! Since last Monday.”
One disadvantage: there is little chance that RTL Tonight will survive the summer.
