Vilma Nissinen says in the Instagram update he published on Thursday evening that he “ran into death threats and inappropriate behavior”.
– Our humor can be really different, and we can also have completely different opinions on many things, but we should still know how to behave like people towards each other, he writes.
– No one has to like the skier Vilma Nissis, but I hope that the smearing and painting of Vilma the person will now come to an end.
In his Ig update, Nissinen poses in a stylized picture with a “I’m not saying anything” sign in his hand and the text “cancel” in front of his mouth. He starts his writing with the words “I guess I’ll say it anyway”.
– For the past four years, I have been chasing my skiing dreams entirely with the power of private funding and partners, Nissinen underlines.
– So thanks to my partners for making my dream job possible. I haven’t received a single euro of the Finnish state sports grant, and I don’t think I’ve earned it either, yet. So when you demand that “Nissi’s state support be taken away”, that ski doesn’t like it at all.
Nissinen caused a massive uproar a few days ago by calling Vantaa the Mogadishu of Finland. The mayor of Vantaa, along with others, took a stand on the words Pekka Timonen.
The Ski Association resigned from the statement. In the same context, Nissinen apologized “sincerely for his inappropriate and inappropriate comment”.
