Former professional boxer Robert Helenius, 41, has been on the verge of a new phase in his life.
Helenius stopped competing, but now says on TV that it has been challenging to deal with not competing.
You are what you eat – program, Helenius describes how it has sometimes been challenging to slack off from the disciplined life of a professional athlete. The sport was Helenius’ “whole life” for 27 years. Currently, he works as an entrepreneur and policing officer.
Doctor Pippa Laukka takes Helenius’ current ways of life into a more precise reason. Helenius himself says that he eats food rich in protein and fat twice a day. The diet consists of, among other things, meat and eggs, he avoids vegetables.
– I always say that I’m allergic to vegetables or salad leaves, especially that they always have to be taken out between hamburgers or something. You can’t eat that, it upsets your stomach, he describes.

The supervisor’s work is focused on the night time, which tends to increase fatigue and stress.
– I am perhaps a little more irritable than usual. It would be nice to talk to a professional so that you can last as long as possible and be energetic, he thinks.
A lifestyle change is started as usual by looking into the fridge. Helenius wonders if Laukka might be shocked by the number of eggs he eats per day.
– Huh, I was about to have a heart attack when I saw Robert’s closet. There was so much protein and red meat, Laukka commented.
Helenius says that about 400–800 grams of meat is consumed per day. Usually, he has a habit of frying about six eggs on the side of 400 grams of meat.

After raiding the refrigerator, Pippa Laukka states that they have a lot to discuss. When the week’s diet is put together on one table, Helenius thinks that there is not enough meat on the table.
The diet lists, among other things, 1.2 kilos of minced meat, 48 eggs and plenty of caffeine, i.e. energy drinks and 50 cups of coffee.
– Many may think that this is the diet of a real man, but at the same time forget that Robert is a competitive athlete, Laukka reminds.
Laukka points out Helenius, among other things, about the unfortunate number of fibers. He adds that certain vitamins and trace elements are also needed for the absorption of nutrients from the meat.
Laukka tells how the results of Helenius’ various health measurements are exceptional.
– I will start with such results, which I have never been able to tell in this program before.
Laukka says that the maximum score in the body composition report is 100. Helenius’ score exceeds the maximum, because he got 108 points. No less than 60 kilos of Helenius’ weight is muscle.
– The 108 points in the body composition examination seemed like an excellent result, especially when the amount of fat was at a healthy level, says Laukka.
