Many Dutch people shrug their shoulders at the weather codes of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI). A poll by Radar (1850 respondents) shows that half take a code orange or red ‘moderately’ to ‘not at all’ seriously. ‘Scaremongering’, that’s what one respondent called it.
