Manson’s speech
Surrounded by his guests, Marilyn Manson blew out some candles that were placed on a large cake. He turned to his guests and gave a brief summary: “Thank you everyone for coming! I love you. It was a great year.” See here:
The past years
The musician has drawn less attention to himself through music in recent years. Specifically, it was about allegations of domestic violence against him – his former assistant accused him of sexual assault and bodily harm. Marilyn Manson has been under investigation for this for the past four years. But in early 2025, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced that no charges would be filed based on the allegations. In addition, the lawsuit filed by the said assistant was dismissed in December.
At the party, Manson then announced: “2026 will be even better.” He continued: “I’m releasing a new album. And another world tour, which will be something very special. Plus, I’ve been sober for five years.”
How do the industry, companions and fans feel about the musician today?
The singer is still controversial and the allegations against him are still serious today. Evan Rachel Wood, for example, accused him of raping her during a music video shoot in 2007. He also initially attracted her through love bombing and then abused her emotionally and psychologically. The musician and the actress previously dated in 2006. Marilyn Manson himself denies the allegations to this day. However, Marilyn Manson’s current companions did not comment on these allegations. The Tagesspiegel, among others, reported on the allegations.
He also has a controversial past with Courtney Love. They fell out in 1999 and the singer allegedly resented him for not wanting to sleep with her, according to Loudwire. Despite the controversy, however, a different picture emerged here. The singer looks like a loyal companion of Manson today and kissed him on the cheek during the celebration.
It’s a similar story for Billy Corgan, who was also a guest at the celebration. The two musicians had a long-standing enmity and subsequent reconciliation in 2014. Since then, The Smashing Pumpkins frontman has only expressed appreciation for his current friend. As “Loudwire” reports, this emerged from an interview in 2015 during their joint “End Times” tour. In this they answer questions from Reddit users that were asked during a question and answer session.
However, other companions from the industry turned away. Guitarist Tyler Bates, for example, who toured with the rock star for years, ended the collaboration and announced on Monday, January 5, 2025, that he would now concentrate on his own projects. He announced this in a statement on social media. However, he left it open whether this had anything specifically to do with the allegations or the dismissed lawsuits.
What about the fan camp? Last year, the musician went on an extensive “One Assassination under God” world tour. The concerts in Berlin, for example, were completely sold out.
