Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have officially finalized their divorce. According to court documents available online The former couple agreed to waive both spousal support and child support.
Divorce agreement and custody arrangement
The divorce became final on Tuesday, January 6, in a Nashville court. Just over three months after Kidman and Urban announced their split.
The couple married in June 2006 and were together for 19 years. Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences.
As People reports, the agreement stipulates that both parties will bear their own legal fees and procedural costs. A parenting plan has also been established for their two daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (15), who will mostly live with Kidman.
Shared responsibility and mutual respect
Both parents retain shared responsibility for fundamental decisions in their daughters’ lives. The agreement also states that Kidman and Urban “will not speak ill of each other or members of the other parent’s family” and will “encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
Representatives for Kidman and Urban did not immediately respond to requests for comment from ROLLING STONE.
Current projects by Kidman and Urban
Kidman starred in the film “Holland” last year and also served as executive producer of the Australian TV series “The Last Anniversary.” Several projects have been announced for this year, including “Practical Magic 2” as well as the series “Scarpetta” and “Margo’s Got Money Troubles”.
Keith Urban released his latest album “High” in 2024. He spent much of last year touring North America, which ended in mid-October.
