British singer Jesy Nelson talks about her twin girls’ diagnosis in her Instagram video.
Nelson says in the video that the babies have been diagnosed with type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Muscle Federation according to this means spinal muscular atrophy. According to the association, the disease is where the fault is not in the muscles themselves, but in the nerve cells that transmit action commands to the muscles. A person with it usually does not learn to walk.
– My life has turned upside down. I act as a nurse for my babies. I put them on ventilators and do other things that no mother should have to do to her children, says Nelson.

Nelson says that after giving birth, she was told that children develop more slowly than others because they were born prematurely.
– I decided not to compare them to other children. A few months ago, my own mother noticed that the twins were not moving their legs as much as babies of that age usually do, Nelson says.
Later, Nelson and Foster noticed that the girls were not eating enough. Finally they got a diagnosis.
– We were told that our children will not walk. However, we must focus on their hope and hope for the best, says Nelson.
