The police have received several tips that missing Mick (19) from Helmond was seen around half past twelve on Friday morning near the Ommelseweg in Asten. In a Burgernet report, the police ask residents of Asten to keep an eye out for the mentally challenged boy. The police continue to search with all their might.

Mick disappeared around 3 a.m. on the night of Thursday to Friday. The police and his family are very concerned about him.

“He never actually went out alone,” said Ruud Hendriks, Mick’s father’s cousin, on Friday afternoon. “This has never happened before. Mick’s father woke up because he had to go to the toilet and saw the front door open. Outside the family, Mick has poor communication skills.”

Mick has a light complexion, blonde wavy hair, is about 6 feet tall and wears glasses. He was probably wearing black Nike shorts and a red, pink shirt. CCTV footage taken shortly after his disappearance in the immediate vicinity of Mick’s house shows that he is wearing little clothing.

Major search
The search will be expanded to Asten on Friday evening, but the police will also continue to search in Helmond. About a hundred veterans from the Veterans Search Team Foundation (VST) gathered there on Friday morning in the canteen of the tennis club, at the Espendonk sports park. The search started from Edelhertlaan in Helmond, where Mick lives, and was further expanded from there.

The Mobile Unit (ME) and the Netherlands Rescue Dogs Foundation (SIN) and a group of local residents also joined the search on Friday evening. A police helicopter and drone team helped search until it got dark on Friday afternoon.
