Finnish hockey referee Janne Wuorenheimo got the wrath of the Yankee audience of several thousand on the night before New Year’s Day Finnish time.
American defender Luke Osburn delivered the puck into the stands from his own area and received a two-minute penalty for delaying the game.
As soon as the puck left Osburn’s stage, the Swedish hairstylist William Håkansson tackled Osburn into the corner of the rink in the final set.
Osburn was left lying on the ice in pain, and the Home Audience demanded a punishment for the Swede, but it did not come.
When Wuorenheimo only announced a Yankee penalty, the American crowd booed him loudly.

During Osburn’s penalty, the USA got another freeze, and the Swedes were able to run a two-man advantage, during which the highly promising Ivar Stenberg scored Sweden’s 6–3 goal.
