Finnish basketball star Lauri Markkanen28, posted a photo on her Instagram stories that revealed a warm moment from home life.
The picture showed a small hockey stick and hockey gloves on the floor.
– I saw this when I came home at 2 in the morning. Enjoy every moment when the kids are at home. It won’t last forever, Markkanen described the situation poignantly.
The pictures of the stories can be viewed for 24 hours.
Markkanen got married Verna Ahon with in the fall of 2017. The couple met in Jyväskylä when they were in middle school and started dating in 2016. Their family includes three children: a boy born in January 2018, a girl born in October 2020 and a third child born in November 2024.
As a basketball professional, Markkanen is away from home for a large part of the year. During the NBA regular season, teams play 41 away games in North America, and long trips and late returns home are commonplace.
Markkanen has represented Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and the current Utah Jazz in the NBA.
