1. FC Heidenheim is about to make its first winter transfer. Table 17. The Bundesliga is likely to strengthen with Hennes Behrens from TSG Hoffenheim. According to Sky, the 20-year-old left-back will come on loan without an option to buy until the end of the season. Only the final details remain to be clarified.

Behrens comes from the Hoffenheim youth team and has made two appearances for the professionals so far. This season he appeared four times for the second team in the third division before being sidelined since the end of September with a torn muscle fiber. Now he should gain match practice at a high level, because he is still expected to make a breakthrough in the Bundesliga, even after strong preparation under coach Christian Ilzer.
Heidenheim only strengthened the left defensive side in the summer with Leart Paçarada. However, the 30-year-old tore his cruciate ligament after seven minutes on his debut on matchday 3 against Borussia Dortmund (0-2) and was out until late in the second half of the season. With Jonas Föhrenbach (29), there is only one nominal left-back in the squad.
