The highlights of the 2025 season of the La7 broadcast which brings the Gazzetta Motori tests to television. From the sportiest two-wheelers to the most efficient cars
Also in 2025 the Gazzetta Motori road tests reached television viewers with the broadcast Drive with Usappointment on LA7 at 1.10pm on Saturday. Numerous two- and four-wheeled vehicles were put to the test and told on the small screen by our testers, from the most efficient and rational models to highly emotional dreams. Below, we retrace the tests of some of the vehicles that have most convinced and involved us in this 2025 in the name of passion for engines, whether thermal or electric.
1 Audi RS3
—
The one between Audi and the Dolomites is a long-lasting love story. So, the opportunity arose to release the 400 HP of the renewed RS3, what better location than the snowy streets of Madonna di Campiglio? Here the sporty compact with the legendary 5-cylinder turbo and all-wheel drive true permanent, with a sophisticated differential at the rear to refine the torque distribution. Thus the RS3 dances on the snow with exemplary composure, as well as with an already nostalgic sound.
2 BMW M 1000RR
—
On the track with the bike that won the 2025 Superbike World Champion thanks to the exploits of Toprak Razgatliogluwith which BMW reached the top of the series-derived championship in a very short time. A beast whose power has further grown until it reaches altitude 218 HPcompared to a weight that stops at 194kg. Thus the output reaches dizzying speeds, while the latest generation electronics allow you to enjoy the M 100 RR on the track safely, bending with poetry.
3 Plug-in hybrid comparison
—
2025 was the year of “super hybrids”, i.e. plug-in schemes capable of covering distances significantly greater than traditional ones. Among the most successful examples of this technology is first and foremost the powertrain developed by Toyotawhich promises up to 100 kilometers of autonomy in Ev and behaves like full hybrid canonical once the battery charge runs out. We put it to the test with three different Toyota group cars: the C-HRthe Rav4 and the Lexus NX. The first is the most popular of the Japanese company’s plug-in hybrids, also favored by an aggressive commercial positioning which makes the price of the full hybrid and that of the plug-in hybrid. With the Rav4 the maximum performance of the scheme is discovered, reaching 306 HP, while the Lexus Nx brings it into the luxury car segment.
4 Maxi enduro comparison
—
On the suggestive slopes of Etna we compared three different sophisticated, high-end maxi enduros. From Austria the Ktm 1290 Super Adventurewho challenges the German BMW R 1300 GS and Italian Ducati Multistrada V4 Sfor a challenge characterized by three clearly distinct philosophies. To fully discover the differences between the three, we pitted them against each other on hairpin bends, off-road and even on the track, in search of the ultimate maxi enduro. The verdict? The KTM is instinctive, the Ducati exciting, the BMW complete.
5 Ferrari F80
—
2025 was the year of the Ferrari F80, supercars of the Cavallino which redefines all the current technical and performance standards of sports cars, becoming a new chapter in the most prestigious dynasty in motor racingthe one that starts from the 288 Gto and then passes through the F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari. To fully discover it, we first tackled the hairpin bends of the Romagna hinterland, and then unleashed it on the track between the curbs of the Misano circuit. The response? There is nothing like it! The 1,200 HP hybrid V6 (of which 900 developed by thermal, which means a record specific power of 300 HP/litre) has infinite thrust and recovery, the active suspensions they perfect the behavior by eliminating any movement of the car outside the optimal conditions, theaerodynamics glues the car to the asphalt as if it were a real racing 499P, and the ABS Cornering Evo helps it grip every curb even at extreme speeds. A true jewel destined for the elite of world collectors, for whom they will be made in total 799 specimens from 3,600,000 euros each, net of the now infinite customization possibilities. This time too, Ferrari has taken decades of experience in the highest categories of motorsport and concentrated the best innovations inside a car, capable of mark a before and after setting a performance standard that until a few years ago would have seemed completely unthinkable.
6 Honda XL750 Transalp
—
In 2025 we also tightened the handlebars of the new Honda XL750 Transalp, a versatile twin-cylinder that reinterprets the 1980s myth of the Transalp. With its beating heart from 755 cc maintains the traditional sporting character that has always distinguished it, while gaining even more fluid power delivery. Electronics become more usable, and a riding mode more customizable. Thus it becomes a traveler both on asphalt and off-road, offering an excellent package in the name of comfort, handling and off-road capability.
7 Hyundai Inster
—
Among the most surprising cars of this season of Guida con Noi, the Hyundai Inster Cross. An off-road inspired city car which, despite its pocket-sized dimensions, offers superior interior habitability. A positive note also in the efficiency chapter, because it knows how to use its battery pack very well 49 kWhguaranteeing an autonomy of 360 kilometers in mixed cycle.
8 Jaecoo 7
—
2025 was the year of “super hybrids“. With the new Jaecoo 7 we discovered what this term means, and what advantages it brings during use. By fitting a generously sized battery, 18.3 kWhthe car is capable of covering up to 91 km of autonomy in a mixed cycle, while once the charge is used up it still remains an integration of the hybrid component. All to the benefit of consumption, especially in urban traffic, where we recorded mileages in the order of 25 km/litre.
9 Porsche 911 GT3
—
From Misano we move to the Imola Circuit at the wheel of a car philosophically opposed to the F80, the Porsche 911 GT3. Here, instead of the extreme sophistication of the Maranello car, there is the purest of possible mechanical settings: 4.0 liter naturally aspirated boxer with 510 HP, rear-wheel drive, weight reduced to the bone. Thus the Zuffenhausen icon dances between the curbs with absolute precision, practically becoming a “blank canvas” from which you can ask for anything, from the cleanest racing line to a spectacular crossbar with smoking wheels. The front communicates what is happening on every grain of asphalt, the double clutch gearbox reads minds, and the engine screams up to 9,000 rpm. There is nothing like it, also because the 911 is a true voice out of the pack, being the only car in the world with a cantilevered rear engine.
10 Volkswagen ID.Buzz
—
On board the Volkswagen ID.Buzz we discovered the taste of outdoor adventures in “electric sauce”. Yes, because the van which recalls the legendary Bulli both in terms of aesthetics and style is offered only with electric engines, including the Pro, the subject of the test, with an 85 kWh battery for aautonomy of 470 kilometers. To test the actual capabilities of the ID.Buzz as a weekend travel companion, we recreated a typical out-of-town trip, with seven participants engaged in trekking and paragliding. All on the splendid coasts of Lake Garda, whose hairpin bends allowed us to discover another great quality of the vehicle: behind the wheel, it drives like a real car.
