The host of “Big Brother VIP” had self-suspended himself from Mediaset in recent days
Alfonso Signorini is being investigated for extortion and sexual violence by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Milan. A formal act of the power of attorney after the complaint filed on Christmas Eve by the former competitor of Big Brother VIP in 2021 Antonio Medugno. The case followed by the deputy prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis and by the deputy prosecutor Letizia Mannella who are handling the investigation, which started after the Signorini’s complaint, who accused Corona of dissemination of images with explicit content concerning him. The Big Brother host, in the meantime, has decided to self-suspend from the editorial activity he carries out within the Mediaset group. While waiting for clarity on the whole matter, the television group accepted Signorini’s request, underlining in a note that “those who work for the company are required to comply with clear principles of correctness, responsibility and transparency, as defined by the Code of Ethics, which is applied without exceptions. All investigations and checks are underway to guarantee compliance”. Fabrizio Corona’s videos were released while the hypothesis of a new edition of Big Brother VIP, again hosted by Signorini, for next spring was taking shape.

Antonio Medugno, author of the complaint which led to the inclusion of Signorini in the register of suspects, was launched on TV by Men and Women in 2019 as a suitor, today he is a model and influencer on TikTok. In 2021 he was one of the competitors of the Big Brother VIP and, according to what Corona said, it would have been Alfonso Signorini who wanted it and would have had a particular interest in him. In his videos Corona showed excerpts from some alleged private messages between Signorini and Medugno. The latter, after the incident broke out, said that there had been affectionate messages and video calls before he entered the house. Alfonso Signorini is ready to defend himself against the accusations made against him and has chosen a lawyer as his defenders Daniela Massagliawho in the past had assisted Nina Moric during her separation from Corona, and the criminal lawyer Domenico Aiellor that he is the lawyer of the former deputy prosecutor of Pavia, Mario Venditti, accused of corruption in part of the Garlasco case.
