Access to online accounts at Deutsche Bank, Postbank and Norisbank was temporarily restricted on Monday.
The cause was a technical malfunction, a spokesman for Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt said upon request. The problem was resolved in the afternoon. However, there are still occasional restrictions. For example, a second log-in attempt may be necessary to register. Initially, several media outlets reported.
Like Norisbank, Postbank belongs to the Deutsche Bank group. The banks informed customers on their websites about the problems with the registration process. Deutsche Bank did not provide any further information about the disruption. “We ask customers to understand the inconvenience caused,” the bank spokesman said in a statement.
