The equestrian world is mourning the death of Paul Kavanagh: The 20-year-old jockey was considered a great talent – now he has died after an accident on Christmas Eve.

Irish jockey Paul Kavanagh died in an accident at the age of just 20. Kavangh died in a car accident that occurred on the night of December 23-24.

Kavanagh most recently rode for trainer Enda Bolger. He reacted deeply: “We are devastated. He was the most polite, well-mannered and well-mannered young man we have ever dealt with.” Kavanagh celebrated his first win in the steeplechase in Clonmel in June.

Jockey Aidan Kelly was also shocked: “You couldn’t meet a nicer guy. It’s a big shock for all of us.” In several places in Ireland, jockeys rode with black armbands on Friday.
