Supermarket chain Jumbo is recalling a certain type of own-brand potato gratin. The item’s packaging does not close sufficiently, which may cause the product to spoil before the expiration date.
This concerns Potato Gratin herb butter from Jumbo, with an expiration date until January 21, 2026. Customers who have purchased the product can return it to a Jumbo store. They will then receive the purchase amount back. A receipt is not necessary.
Jumbo finds the recall annoying for customers. “We will do everything we can to ensure this does not happen again in the future.”
Possible glass in pasta sauce Makro Christmas package
Makro is in turn recalling the Deluxe Christmas Christmas package. The package contains a jar of pasta sauce that may contain glass shards due to a production error. The sauce is not suitable for consumption, the wholesaler warns.
People who bought and distributed the Christmas package are called on to inform the recipients of the package about the dangerous pasta sauce. Makro also asks people who have received the package to warn their colleagues.
Buyers of the Christmas package will receive 10 percent of the purchase price back. Any leftover packages can be returned to Makro.
