Peter (50) has been living under a tree in the Wantijpark in Dordrecht for three years. There he met Jacqueline, who offered him a place in her new home. The fact that he would finally have a roof over his head this Christmas was a nice prospect. But that dream has now been postponed. “I don’t mind sleeping outside,” he says matter-of-factly. “But it was such a beautiful Christmas spirit.”
