After the dismissal of Daniel Thioune, Markus Beginning was supposed to turn things around at Fortuna Düsseldorf. But even under the new head coach, not much is going well for the second division club; F95 has only slipped further into the bottom of the table under the 51-year-old. According to “Bild”, the management team at Fortuna Düsseldorf wants to decide between Christmas and New Year’s Eve about the future of Markus beginning, who only took over in the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia at the beginning of October and then signed a working paper there until 2027. How this will turn out is completely unclear.
An important point: the question of costs. Finally, Daniel Thioune is still on the payroll of the second division team, which is currently ranked 16th in the relegation table. Since the 51-year-old has not yet found a new job and the contract, which runs until the end of June 2028, has not been terminated, the ex-head coach receives a monthly salary of around 50,000 euros, according to the tabloid.

If you were to dismiss Beginn, who receives around 30,000 euros per month, and put a new man on the sidelines, you would have to pay three trainers at the same time. By the end of the season, 480,000 euros would be spent just on the trainers who are no longer working at Fortuna, “Bild” calculates.
